Sofa sized oil painting by me from your photo, or reproduce your favorite old master painting! I'm artist Robin Zebley, I'm best known for my custom house and pet portraits, and am now offering paintings of any subject from your photos.
This listing is for an 18" x 34" oil on stretched canvas, suitable for framing. Any size available, contact me for pricing for other sizes. Turn around time is about 4 to 6 weeks most times of the year. Let me know if you need it sooner and I'll work overtime to get it done by your deadline.
Any subject you dream and in the colors you would like. For this one, I matched my client's room colors, she provided the paint chip numbers and I matched up. She also wanted Washington Crossing the Delaware, originally painted by Emmanual Leutze, to be a bit more impressionistic. So I brightened the colors and daubed paint more in the sky and water for the effect she wanted. This particular painting combines tiny portraits (faces about the size of a quarter) traditional brushwork and quick knifework on the icebergs to bring out their hard coldness.
Her reaction when she opened the box and saw her custom painting for the first time? "I am flipping out like a crazy person right now - this looks AMAZING! I can't believe what an amazing job you did. Thank you so much!"
Regarding painting from other artists' work, they MUST be in the public domain. In other words, no longer copyrighted by the original artist, and they will be signed "Robin Zebley after Leutze" or whomever the artist was. I will not paint any copyrighted art.
Do not worry if you have, say, a photo of your dog on the beach but it's not "sofa sized". I will work with you and what you have to design the painting you are dreaming of! Please see my other listings and contact me with any questions.
This size is also available with fat, gallery wrapped edges that are finished as though they are a part of the front painting. However, the pricing will be $15 more and the shipping will be figured from my door to yours. Just contact me. What you envision for your wall, we will make happen. Your home decor doesn't have to be mass manufactured on an assembly line like so many you find in stores! It can be as personal as you dream! Robin
Since it's too late to order a painting for Christmas delivery, I'm again offering my very popular gift certificate, which I will email to you and you can present on Christmas, telling them their gift is "still on the easel". I know that's less than ideal, so I am offering 10% off for my gift cert portraits. Then, I will paint your portrait after the holidays. I paint in order that they are purchased, so order early for the fastest delivery!

It is never to early! Every year I have to disappoint because I can't accept all of the orders of people who want a custom portrait in time for Christmas. Much better to order WAY in advance to guarantee delivery for Christmas gift giving.
I finished my last 2017 Christmas order on April 1, 2018. So, I highly recommend ordering in advance and putting it away than having to wait til spring!
I haven't had it happen, but if you need to cancel after ordering, I will refund the price minus my time up to the time of your cancellation.
Yes, I do!
